Scope and operator
TheFivo operates Fivo from India. This policy covers cookies and similar storage on thefivo.com. It is the same published policy for users in all locations, with mandatory local rules and consent requirements preserved. Contact [email protected] with questions.
Essential sign-in cookies
The __Host-fivo-player cookie keeps your current Fivo session signed in for up to seven days. It is Secure, HttpOnly and restricted to the Fivo host. The fivo-login cookie binds an email-code attempt to the browser that requested it, and fivo-google binds a Google sign-in attempt to that browser. These binding cookies last up to 10 minutes.
The email-login cookie also lets Fivo restore an unexpired code-entry screen after a page reload or a switch to your email app in the same browser. The code itself is not stored on your device. You can cancel the pending attempt by choosing Change email.
These cookies protect authentication; they are not advertising identifiers. Blocking or clearing them can sign you out or prevent login from completing. Signing out revokes the current session through the service.
Preferences and technical processing
Fivo stores your selected light/dark appearance in local storage under fivo-theme. Local storage is a browser preference rather than a cookie and remains until you clear it or the site changes it. Device time-zone settings are used to display match times locally; official contest periods remain UTC.
Hosting and security providers may process technical connection information and may set essential challenge or security cookies when needed to protect the service. Provider behavior and retention are subject to their own notices and the configuration in use.
Optional tracking is not active in this release
The current release does not run advertising or analytics tracking. We do not treat continuing to browse or accepting these terms as blanket consent to future tracking. Before optional analytics or advertising cookies/SDKs are introduced, we will disclose the actual providers and purposes and provide consent or other choices where required.
Google sign-in takes you to Google’s own pages. Google controls cookies on those pages under its own policy; using Fivo’s basic sign-in does not give Fivo permission to read your Gmail messages.
Your controls and changes
You can clear site cookies and storage through your browser settings. This can remove your appearance choice and sign-in session. Your rights and any requirements for optional-cookie consent depend on the laws that apply to you. Privacy requests go to [email protected]; unresolved requests can be escalated to [email protected].
Updates appear at this URL with a revised date. Material changes to processing or consent choices will be communicated where required. The Privacy policy explains personal-information handling more broadly.
