Who operates Fivo
Fivo is a sports prediction community operated by TheFivo at thefivo.com. This policy covers the website and its connected account services. Contact [email protected] about personal information or [email protected] for general help.
Information we collect
When you sign in, we process your email address and login-provider identifier. When you complete your profile, we store your chosen public display name, country and confirmation that you are at least 18. We do not receive your Google password or access your Gmail messages, contacts or Drive files.
We process your submitted predictions, contest participation, points and reward records when those features are available. We also process service and security records, such as IP addresses in network logs, request identifiers, login attempts and administrative audit records. Information you send to support is used to handle your request.
Why we use information
We use information to authenticate you, maintain your account, provide the features you request, calculate rankings, handle eligible rewards and support requests, prevent duplicate entries and abuse, and protect the service. Depending on the law that applies, processing may rely on providing the requested service, legitimate security and operational interests, legal obligations or your consent where required.
Device information, time zones and country
Official contest days and weeks use UTC. Match times are displayed using the time zone reported by your device or browser. Your device settings may differ from where you actually are.
We automatically fill your profile country, where available, using an approximate country provided by our network security service from your IP address. This may be inaccurate, including when a VPN is used. Contact support to correct it. This country, device time zone and language do not verify your residence or contest eligibility. We use necessary connection and security information to deliver and protect Fivo. Precise GPS location and additional device diagnostics are not collected for current sign-in.
Google sign-in
Fivo requests basic OpenID Connect sign-in and email access. We use Google’s verified email and account identifier to create or locate your Fivo account and prevent unauthorized access. We do not request permission to read or send your Gmail email. You can remove Fivo’s access through your Google Account connections settings; this does not by itself delete your Fivo account.
Google sign-in and email-code sign-in with the same verified email address open the same Fivo account, including its saved display name, picks and rankings. You do not need a separate profile for each sign-in method.
What other people can see
Your display name, country, rank and points may appear on public leaderboards when you participate. Predictions follow the visibility rules shown for the contest: other users cannot view submitted answers before the match starts. Your email address and login credentials are not published on leaderboards.
Service providers and international processing
We use hosting, database, network/security and email-delivery providers to operate Fivo. Google processes sign-in information under its own policies. Our current production server is in India; network and service providers may process information in other countries. Applicable safeguards and lawful transfer arrangements must be used where required. We may disclose information when legally required or necessary to investigate misuse and protect people or the service.
Cookies, advertising and device access
Fivo uses essential session cookies and local preferences, such as your selected appearance, to keep the service working. The current release does not run advertising or analytics tracking. We will update disclosures and obtain consent where required before enabling optional tracking or advertising SDKs. Current sign-in does not require access to your phone contacts, microphone, camera or precise location.
Security and retention
We use HTTPS, restricted server configuration, access controls and hashed login/session records. No system can guarantee absolute security. Login codes expire after 10 minutes and current sessions after seven days, although related security records may be retained for justified operational or legal purposes.
Account information is retained while needed to provide the service. We review deletion requests and retain only information needed for legitimate security, dispute or legal purposes. Backups follow their retention cycle; removing data from the active system does not instantly erase every backup.
Your choices and requests
Email [email protected] from your account address to request access, correction, deletion or another right available under applicable law. We verify requests before disclosing or changing personal data and respond within the period required by the law that applies. You can escalate an unresolved request to [email protected], and contact a relevant authority where you have that right. See the Account deletion page for request instructions.
One policy and regional rights
This global policy is used for the service wherever it is available, including users in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and other countries. Mandatory local rules still apply. An Indian operator or governing-law clause does not remove privacy rights available under the laws that apply to you.
Depending on your location and the applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct or erase information, withdraw consent, object to or restrict certain processing, receive portable information, or complain to a regulator. Some rights are subject to lawful exceptions. Contact [email protected] and we will assess your request under the law that applies, rather than applying one country’s exceptions to everyone.
The current release does not sell personal information or use advertising/analytics tracking. If data practices change, disclosures and any required choices will be updated before those practices begin. Read the Cookie policy for the current essential storage used by Fivo.
Age and policy changes
Fivo is intended for people aged 18 and over. Do not create an account or enter contests if you are under 18. Contact [email protected] if you believe a child’s information has been submitted. We will review and address the report.
We publish updates on this page with a revised date. Material changes will be communicated where required. Indian operation does not remove mandatory privacy rights that apply to users in other countries.
